Jakob, como es ya conocido, empezó su Tour en bicicleta, a principios de noviembre 2017 en Lisboa.
Su meta era Talinn. Luego de ir pasando por algunos países, en dirección Noroeste, llegó hasta Turquía hace algunas semanas. Un accidente grave ha interrumpido su Tour – no con la bicicleta sino como acompañante en un auto. Jakob no va a poder continuar con su viaje. Una pierna está muy afectada y está internado en un hospital en Munich, dónde está siendo tratado.
Es de entender, que a raíz de lo sucedido, su padre Carsten ha debido interrumpir su caminata a Talinn.
Quiere esperar como se desenvuelve la situación de Jakob, que es muy grave.
La iniciativa Go-Europe, sobre todo Carsten y Jakob, desearian que interesados sigan el Tour iniciado – ya sea con bicicleta o a pié. Nos sentiríamos agradecidos si se comunican con nosotros.

Very warmly and with great interest Carsten Witt was received onhis hiking trail from Lisbon to Tallinn in the city hall of Bordeaux. Olivier Ramanour, Director of International Relations, discussed ways and means by which civil society can contribute to the preservation, maintenance and enhancement of Europe: living security in peace, the diversity of regions, responsibility in a global context.

What will we do with Europe? The civil society has answers
Human and civil rights, democracy, the rule of justice and cultural traditions – these are principals that make Europe sustainable! The much used catch phrases “United States of Europe” or the “ever ongoing European Union” are not a satisfying perspective. We should instead work together to develop a new order. This can be driven forward by European citizens, European regions, European parties and a European civil society. Europe is far too important to be left to politics. Europe is much more.

¡Vámonos! Punto de salida de „Make Europe Greater Tour“
On November 2nd, the "Make Europe Greater Tour" started as planned from the Praco do Commercio in Lisbon. Initiator Carsten Witt set off on foot, his son Jakob and friend Max began their tour by bicycle. We are looking forward to the people who are going to join us on various legs of our yearlong Go Europe! tour. Interested? Please contact us!
After much preparation, the organization team finally arrived in Lisbon. The one year M.E.G.T began in the Portuguese capital. A „guarded" street parade, which spanned the region from Praça do Chile to Praça Martim Moniz took place. Full of optimism, we started from Munich on October 21st by electric car. Admitted: The journey to Lisbon is not managable on a single day by "normal" car either. Our two drivers, though, finally arrived on October 27th. A lot of frustration, bordering to desperation, was caused by disfunctional, incompatible or missing charging stations along the whole route. Our compensation: beautiful landscapes and - above all - many helpful people. Europe may not yet be ready for smooth electromobility, but it sure is beautiful and full of nice humean beings.

EL PROYECTO: PATAREI LUGAR DE ENCUENTROS EUROPEO
Facilitar encuentros donde en un pasado habitó el horror: esta es la visión de Carsten Witt, fundador de Go Europe!, de la antigua prisión Patarei en Tallin, capital de Estonia.Paterei, construida como fortaleza naval rusa en el año 1840, sirvió bajo diferentes regímenes políticos de cuartel, campo de trabajo y de concentración, así como de prisión.
Patarei abrió sus puertas durante los últimos años a sus ciudadanos y turistas. Se buscaron señales de crueldad humana, visibles por todas partes. Para los artistas, no sólo de Estonia, Paterei se convirtió en un desafío creativo y un lugar de reunión. En la actualidad, la fortaleza cerró sus puertas por riesgo de accidentes. En cuanto al futuro uso y la renovación de Paterei, son varios los grupos que aportan propuestas y visiones. Justamente ese es el objetivo de Go Europe!: convertir el gran edificio de cuatro hectáreas en un centro de encuentros europeo. Go Europe! está en contacto con las personas responsables en Tallin, con el fin de transformar Paterei en un lugar de encuentros y de apertura ideológica, y de esta manera, un símbolo de vida intercultural en Europa.
El iniciador: Dr. Carsten Witt
Carsten Witt, con una formación académica como delineante de conceptos en acero, diplomado en ingeniería civil y psicología deportiva, hizo un cambio en su carrera profesional para trabajar en el instituto de Obermenzig durante los años 2009 y 2013. Viajó con alumnos y profesores por muchas ciudades de Europa gracias al programa europeo COMENIUS. Intrigado ante la duda de los posibles usos del abandonado complejo Patarei durante un viaje a Tallin en enero de 2016, consolidó sus diversas experiencias en la fundación del proyecto Go Europe!Video sobre el Proyecto en Youtube
